Today marks 18 years since hijackers took over jetliners that crashed into the twin towers of the World Trade Center, and the Pentagon, and crashed in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. Nearly 3-thousand people were killed; more than 6-thousand injured. A moment of silence will be observed in New York City at 8:46am ET, marking the time American Airlines Flight 11 struck the North Tower of the World Trade Center.
