Hurricane Michael Makes Landfall; Hoosiers There To Help

More than 450,000 customers are without power in Florida and Alabama after Hurricane Michael stormed through on Wednesday.  More than 30,000 workers from at least 24 states have been mobilized to restore power to the hundreds of thousands of homes in Florida, Alabama and Georgia that are experiencing outages as a result of Hurricane Michael, according to The Edison Electric Institute. 16 members of Indiana Task Force One were staged in Montgomery, Alabama, now the water rescue team has been deployed to the Florida Panhandle. About 300 I&M employees & contractors are in the Florida Panhandle to assist with power restoration. They are set to meet with crews from Gulf Power this morning.
