Protective Order Issued In Barton Investigation

Some key witness information in the case against Muncie Sanitary District Official Tracy Barton, will remain secret. Barton was arrested last month and it’s believed his arrest is part of a probe into local corruption that’s been ongoing for two years. The Department of Justice sought and won a protective order that appears to be aimed at protecting witnesses cooperating with the government’s case against Barton but still makes the information available to Barton and his defense attorney.
