Gaston Man Charged With 911 Misuse

A Gaston man has been arrested after allegedly placing bogus calls to 911. 53-year-old Mark Joseph Melvin was taken into custody after police checked out the fake calls and now faces charges of misuse of the 911 system. Earlier this year, Melvin was handed a suspended sentence after pleading guilty to resisting law enforcement.
