Tax Reform Bill Passes 51-49

Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell says he’s “very optimistic” the differences between the just passed Senate tax overhaul measure and one passed by the House can be worked out.  Some Democratic lawmakers say they never got enough time to review the Senate bill before the vote.

Your Indiana Senators were split on the newly passed tax reform bill. The bill passed by a 51-49 vote early Saturday morning. Republican Senator Todd Young voted in favor of the GOP-backed bill. Senator Joe Donnelly voted against it, saying it’s a partisan tax hike for middle class Hoosiers.
