Muncie Teachers To Pay Back District For Premium Underpayments

Teachers at MCS will pay back about $700,000 to the district…money representing underpayment of health insurance premiums over the past two years. To help the teachers handle the expense, the money will be drawn from 18 paychecks. The Star Press quotes the Muncie Teachers Association as saying the payback was included in MTA’s “last best offer” to the school district during contract negotiations.
