Muncie Community Schools’ request to halt lawsuits filed by dozens of teachers and other staff has been rejected in court. District lawyers asked the proceedings to be stayed until after the state appoints an emergency manager to oversee district operations. The plaintiffs’ say they were persuaded to take early retirement and then lost health coverage.
