Madison County Council Budget Challenges

A  final budget vote will take place during tomorrow’s 6pm meeting of the Madison County Council. The board is faced with a tighter budget than anticipated as they crunch numbers trying to provide for a 21 percent raise for merit deputies of the Sheriff’s Department. Council President Scott Green says right now the budget is “in the red”.
