It’s called a serious hit-and-run crash Saturday evening in the southern part of Delaware county.

The female 52-year-old Muncie victim was taken to IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital, then transferred by LifeLine helicopter to an Indianapolis-area hospital for advanced care.  Delaware County Sheriff’s office Chief Deputy Jeff Stanley says it looks like she was walking southbound along U.S. 35 when she was struck by a vehicle that continued south after the collision.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered that the call involved a pedestrian who had been struck by a vehicle.  The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office continues to canvass the area and follow up on all investigative leads.
