An Anderson man was sentenced to 52½ years in prison after being convicted on a charge of dealing a controlled substance resulting in death. According to the Herald Bulletin, 30 year old Jason Dewayne Smith of the 3100 block of Autumn Ridge Drive was handed 35 years for the dealing conviction in connection with the 2019 death of Melinda Chanley.
