Winchester Man Receives 15 Year Prison Sentence In Home Break In

A Winchester man who used a police scanner in a failed bid to avoid being linked to a house burglary has been sentenced to 15 years in prison. The Star Press reports a Randolph Circuit Court jury on March 5 found Andrew L. Ellis, 33, guilty of conspiracy to commit burglary, attempted theft and unlawful use of a police radio in connection with a break in on a house in the 800 block of Short Street.
