Senator and Indiana Gubernatorial candidate Mike Braun reportedly missed that spending package vote early Saturday morning.  Fox 59 seems to say the reason depends on who you hear from:  a Braun Senior Advisor said Braun attended a Friday event that ended at 7:00 p.m.; he had a seat on a 9:25 p.m. flight to D.C., but since no votes were scheduled at that time, he decided to spend the night at home and fly out Saturday morning.  Then a vote was then scheduled for Saturday at 1:51 a.m.  The measure passed by a vote of 74-24.  Indiana Democratic Party Chair Mike Schmuhl also released a statement, which included, “Someone should tell Mike Braun that if he doesn’t want to do his job, he can just retire — not run for yet another office and waste Hoosiers’ time.”
