The Anderson Redevelopment Commission on Tuesday voted to purchase the 10-acre lot north of the former General Motors engineering building from the Browned Eyed Girls limited liability corporation for $275,000. The Herald Bulletin reports two appraisals were received at $250,000 and $287,000. State law requires government entities to purchase property based on the average of two appraisals.
