UPDATE: ALL CLEAR in Downtown Muncie

ALL CLEAR given, as fire fighters found a small gas leak in the incinerator of the old Justice Center, across the street from the County Building.  By about 12 noon, EMA Director John Coutinho said people were allowed back inside.  The Election Board Meeting was put on hold – and County Clerk Rick Spangler said they are trying to reconvene Wednesday at 10 a.m.

The earlier headline – MUNCIE: POSSIBLE GAS LEAK at about 10:45 a.m., a possible gas leak in downtown Muncie forced the evacuation of the Delaware County building,  and possible surrounding buildings as well.  Delaware County EMA Director John Coutinho said Muncie Fire Department staff seemed to have some readings of gas in some areas, but determination of the situation will take some time.
