Along with leaving at least $133,000 in unpaid bills, a report indicates former Madison County Coroner Troy Abbott left 1,800 emails to his office unopened. The Herald Bulletin reports Abbott, who resigned July 31, didn’t pay any of the coroner office bills since March. Some are now wondering where budgeted funds for those bills went.
