MCS Clarifies Security Checks Of Students, Lockers

Update on a story we told you about recently. Muncie Community Schools will begin random security checks and locker searches at Central High School and the corporation’s two middle schools. The Star Press reports students, at times, will be “wanded” with hand-held metal detectors as they enter schools. Also, K-9 officers with the Delaware County Sheriff’s Department will be used to determine whether lockers contain illegal substances.
