Defendant In Muncie Government Corruption Probe Draws Year-And-A-Day Sentence

The final defendant in a years-long federal investigation of government corruption in Muncie was sentenced Tuesday to a year and a day in prison. According to the Star Press, 64 year old Tony Franklin pleaded guilty in May to conspiracy to commit wire fraud. He was also ordered to pay the Muncie Sanitary District $279,896.99 in restitution.
