Charges Face Correctional Officer For Allegedly Striking Inmate

A New Castle correctional officer faces charges, accused of striking a handcuffed inmate. 27 year old Samual Moore is charged with official misconduct and battery resulting in moderate bodily injury. The allegations are that on March 8th, both Moore punched the 37-year-old inmate on the right side of his face with a closed fist. The prison suffered a fractured cheek bone.
