In the wake of Muncie Police officer Chase Winklw entering a guilty plea to charges that he had physically abused arrestees, he has been fired by the Muncie Police Merit Commission. Winkle had been suspended without pay since early 2020, and last night the commission unanimously voted to remove Winkle from the Muncie Police Department.
