Police Say Suspect In Officer’s Shooting Death Fired 36 Rounds From Assault Weapon

Police say the man charged in the Sunday shooting death of an Elwood police officer fired three dozen rounds from an assault weapon through the windshield of the patrol car Officer Noah Shahnavaz was in. 42 year old Carl Roy Webb Boards II is also charged with resisting law enforcement, unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious convicted felony and being a habitual offender.
