Ex Muncie Police Officer Gets Two Years In Federal Prison

Retired Muncie police officer Jess Neal has been handed two years in federal prison for his role in a conspiracy to solicit bribes from those seeking Muncie Sanitary District contracts. The Muncie paper reports Neal admitted facilitating payment of a bribe to ex-Democratic Party chairman Phil Nichols so his friend, contractor Tony Franklin, could be awarded MSD demolition contracts.
