Anderson’s Mayor’s Ball Sets Fundraising Record

The annual Mayor’s Ball in Anderson raised a record amount of money earmarked for local teachers. Five years ago, Mayor Thomas Broderick Jr. began using the funds from the annual event to provide grants to local teachers for special projects. The Herald Bulletin reports since its inception, the charity ball has raised $235,000 to be awarded to local teachers. This time around it raised $70,000.
