Muncie City Council did this week added a half million dollars in spending within various city departments to the budget propsed by Mayor Dan Ridenour. Ridenour, reports the Star Press, thought council was looking to cut the budget but reportedly granted his consent to the increase. Lawmakers say 90% of the increases to line items in the budget came from the administration’s own department heads.
