ACLU Files Suit Against Monroe Central Schools On Behalf Of Student

The ACLU of Indiana has filed a lawsuit against Monroe Central Schools after a student’s video, posted on Tik Tok last summer, was suspended. The Star Press reports the superintendent and the high school principal are also named in the suit. The video was done to highlight the use of racist language by other students at Monroe Central Jr.-Sr. High School. The ACLU maintains her suspension over the video is a violation of her First Amendment rights.
