A 138-year sentence a local killer received nearly three decades ago was reduced by 50 years. The Star Press reports the Indiana Supreme Court last November had ordered the sentence reduction for Matthew Stidham, who was 17 when he participated in the February 1991 slaying and robbery of Daniel Barker, a 31-year-old Eaton man.
