Two Aging Wells Serving Anderson Will Be Replaced

A couple of 40 year old wells will be replaced after the Anderson Redevelopment Commission voted to allocate $1.2 million for the project. The wells in question are in the Lafayette well field off County Road 300 North, where the city recently opened a new drinking water treatment plant in the area. The Herald Bulletin reports those wells are operating at 70% capacity.
