It took Anderson firefighters more than three hours to knock back a fire at a vacant house Monday. The call went out at about 5am for 621 Brown Street. Investigators say it appears it may have been started by some squatters on the property. There were no injuries reported. Officials say there’s always an uptick in vacant structure fires in the cold winter months.
