Roza “Ro” Selvey has been selected by a Republican caucus as the newest Muncie City Council member. She’ll replace Richard Ivy, who resigned from council to become Muncie’s deputy mayor. The Star Press reports five candidates in all were vying for the post, two of them, point out party officials, are only 23 years old, demonstrating a promising interest in community service for the future.
