The Muncie Fire Department will put Village Promenade on a “fire watch” as colder weather approaches. According to the Star Press, and a fifth of the apartment complex’s heating system remains offline, and so a uniformed firefighter will be assigned to the area as a safety precaution. That officer would notify the fire department and the occupants of any emergency, or prevent a fire from occurring, or extinguish any small fires.
