Edgewood Town Council is considering closing its town court now that Scott Norrick is becoming judge of Madison Circuit Court Division 5. Whomever replaces him has to be a town resident and a licensed attorney. If the court were to close, approximately 5,000 pending cases in the court would have to be transferred to the Anderson or Elwood city courts or to the county’s circuit courts.
