A formal agreement on the joint 911 operations center has been reached between the City of Muncie and Delaware County. It was two years ago that then-Mayor Dennis Tyler gave notice that he intended to end the city’s longstanding agreement with the county for the joint dispatch center. According to the Star Press, city council recently agreed to approve a 2020 payment of $800,000, and locked the city into the same payment next year.
