A statement he made about older city workers has apparently led to the removal of Jerry Wise from his appointed seat on the Muncie Board of Works. The Star Press reports that on Wednesday, during a dicussion about life insurance for employees over 65 and retirees, Wise commented, “Shouldn’t you just shoot those people?” Wise said quickly after the fact that he was just kidding.
