The Delaware County Prosecutor says a sheriff’s deputy was justified exchanging gunshots with a man during a police chase. 38 year old Benjamin Brooks of Randolph County was wounded in the incident in late June and hospitalized more than a month before being transferred to the Delaware County Jail. Evidence used in the case included a police body camera.
