A Yorktown man whose car ended up in a retention pond on Tuesday, died Wednesday. Police say 72 year old Thurston Smith was inside the vehicle when it was spotted in the water at Clara Lane and Williamsburg Boulevard at about 4:30pm. An autopsy will be conducted Thursday at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.
