Exide Technologies has filed for bankrupcty and that could mean different things for the Muncie plant. It could continue to operate but under the auspices of Chapter 11, Exide said it’s trying to sell its North American assets. In the meantime, operations will continue as the company has obtained enough financing to do so for now.
