Madison County seeks to recover $139,069 in legal fees and expenses after the county successfully defended itself against a lawsuit over redistricting. The Herald Bulletin says two residents last year challenged new boundaries for commissioner districts and ultimately a court ruled that the county’s redistricting was in compliance with state law.
