A $24 million grant application has been submitted by the City of Munciefor the 2020 Build Grant with the U.S. Department of Transportation. The money is intended to help municipalities update and improve infrastructure. The Star Press reports the city pushed ahead on the application during the coronavirus pandemic, in the hope that other municipalities might have held off on applying during the crisis.
