State officials say in the month of April, Indiana’s death toll has almost quadrupled. Wednesday they reported 49 additional deaths, increasing the state’s total to 436 deaths. In addition, tests confirmed 440 more COVID-19 illnesses, boosting Indiana’s total number of cases to nearly 9,000.
