An early morning fire in Alexandria Monday left two firefighters injured. The call came in from the 200 block of East First Avenue at 12:22 a.m. Firefighters arriving on the scene of the unoccupied home found heavy flames. The home was being remodeled. A celing collapsed in a room, injuring those firefighters. No word on a cause but the place is considered a total loss.
