A request to raise the salay of the human resources administrator in Madison County by 35% ended up in a deadlock this week in county council. The vote was 2 to 2 among the four members there to approve a pay increase of $17,000 for Beatrice Ramey, reports the Herald Bulletin. The matter will be addressed again next month.
