An Anderson firefighter who was battling cancer has died. 47 year old Brent Holland, reports the Herald Bulletin, served with the Anderson Fire Department for 22 years. He died Monday night surrounded by family and friends. He was elected president of the Madison County Council in January and was a candidate for re-election in the May primary.
