$110k to Kids

The George & Frances Ball Foundation has awarded the Boys & Girls Clubs of Muncie with a $110,000 grant to support the Clubs’ out of school time programming for kindergarten through 12th grade. The vision of the Clubs ensures that every Club member graduates from high school, ready for a post-secondary education, or a vocational career.According to Thomas Kinghorn, president and CEO of the George and Frances Ball Foundation “we are pleased to support the strong collaborative relationship between the Boys & Girls Clubs of Muncie and Muncie Community Schools.  Effective after-school programming, such as the Boys & Girls Clubs’ Power Hour, Diploma2Degrees, Career Development, Money Matters and Mentoring, can all make a difference.  This programming aligns with our Cradle to Career Initiative, and investing in our youth is key to the future of the community”. This year the Clubs will focus on “Whatever it Takes” to build great futures for the youth of Muncie. This grant will allow the Clubs to focus on continuing their efforts to offer Club Kids a safe, fun, and positive environment where they can enable young people to be the best they can be.
