The man who led Muncie Mayor Dan Ridenour’s transition team has a new job. The mayor announced at Monday night’s council meeting that Dave Smith, would be executive director of the Muncie Redevelopment Commission. Smith was initially named streets superintendent but the Star Press reports new city engineer Brian Stephens-Hotopp as the city engineer. Stephens-Hotopp will oversee the street department as part of that role.
