He allegedly led authorities on a chase into three East Central Indiana counties and attacked a police dog. 37-year-old Nelson Michael Hays, of Guilford in Lawrence County, faces a multitude of charges after sheriff’s deputies tried to stop him on I-70 near the SR 3 exit. The chase ended in Randolph County after reaching speeds of more than 100 miles per hour.
