An agreement has been reached regarding asbestos removal from the Madison County Government Center that will reportedly save taxpayers more than $229,000. According to the Herald Bulletin, while the county had paid $259,000 for the work, it was determined that $261,000 of damage was done during the process. The county will pay the company $30,000.
