A Muncie man who tried to cash a check for $500 he says he found on the ground told police he thought he had the right to cash it. 33 year old Sonny Anderson is charged with forgery as the check was in another person’s name. That person was a Muncie police officer who thinks the check was stolen from his mailbox.
