A Republican caucus has voted to have a former Marion General Hospital director fill a House seat once held by State Representative Kevin Mahan. Ann Vermilion received a majority of the votes from GOP caucus-goers. Vermilion will represent Indiana House District 31 which includes all of Blackford County and portions of Delaware, Grant and Wells counties. Mahan stepped down to take a position with Community Health Network.
