BSU Cuts Spending In Anticipation Of Budget Shortfall

Ball State University cuts spending to avoid a shortfall: The University was forced to reduce supplies, curb travel and eliminate 25 positions to avoid a budget shortfall. The University’s board of trustees then approved a 2019-20 fund budget to increase tuition of 1.25 percent and increase the salary pool by 1 percent. Ball State’s generating revenue is expected to decline about $100,000 in 2019-20.
