Friday marked the final day of operation for the Muncie Big Brothers Big Sisters. The East Central Indiana chapter says heftier requirements from the national office, and the costs associated with those demands, prompted the decision. Headquarters wanted more staffing and the added expense was more than the chapter could afford. The local branch had been in operation for almost 50 years.
