One hurdle cleared for an affordable assisted living facility to be built in Anderson. City Council and the Economic Development Commission have passed a resolution for Sweet Galilee Wigwam to obtain up to $21 million in tax exempt bonds. The project has an estimated cost of $29 million and they hope to start construction on September 1st and expect to open in January 2021.
